DESIGN PROCESS
Initial Contact
Contact me and we will set up a time to chat about your project. After our initial meeting, you'll receive a quote for design services based on scope.
On-Site Consultation
Next, we'll meet at your site where I can see everything in-person. We can talk more in-depth about your needs for your outdoor space.
Site Analysis
I'll take detailed measurements of your landscape and take note of your site's conditions so that I can make appropriate design and plant recommendations for you.
Concepts
You will receive two concept designs that show you different layouts and aesthetic choices for your space. After you review them, we'll meet to discuss your favorite features.
Preliminary Plan
Your preliminary plan comes next and is a construction document drafted to scale that can be built from. It will outline all plants, construction details, and material options.
Revisions
Once you've had time to go over your preliminary plans, we'll meet and discuss any needed revisions. If you have an HOA, we'll save a revision for their feedback.
Install
If you want to DIY, your final plan is ready to build from once revisions are complete. If you're wanting to hire a contractor, I'll connect you with reputable contractors from my network and assist you through the bid process.
Post-Design Support
Once your design is complete, I'm still available for any questions that you may have through the landscape installation process, or even for plant care suggestions as things get established. It is time to enjoy your new space!
On-Site Consultation + Site Analysis
The first step in creating a stunning and functional landscape is a comprehensive site analysis. During this visit, I will carefully evaluate your outdoor space, taking detailed measurements of all existing features, including hardscapes, fences, structures, and plantings, to develop an accurate base plan—the foundation for your custom design. This visit is also an opportunity for us to walk through your space together and discuss any challenges, concerns, or problem areas you’d like to address. Whether it’s drainage issues, awkward layouts, or areas that aren’t being fully utilized, I’ll listen closely to your needs and ideas. Additionally, we’ll explore your vision for the space, discussing potential design elements, plant selections, and functional improvements to ensure the final design is both beautiful and practical. This step is essential for crafting a landscape that not only looks incredible but also enhances how you live, entertain, and relax in your outdoor environment. Once the site visit is complete, we usually start with concepts and then progress to plans that have all of the details to bring your dream garden retreat to life!
